A conversa segue:
Feito isto, ele continua:

- "Correcto.

Scam - very careful

SCAMS CREDIT CARD
They say that this is happening already in Portugal.
Be careful and do not respond to questions "apparently" certain.
Be better prepared to protect yourself if you are aware of this new type of fraud with credit cards via phone.
The scammers are becoming increasingly creative!
You receive a call and the person says:
- "I am speaking to you from the Department of Safety of VISA (or, for example). My name is my Fulanos and functional identification number is 12460. You bought (anything strange as an anti-telemarketing) in value of 497.99 euros to a company based in Arizona, USA? "
Of course, you answered no, to the following:
- "Probably your card has been cloned and we call you to check. This confirmation will be issued a credit to them."
This type of transaction is happening with costs ranging from 297 euros to 499 euros, just to be less than 500 Euros, which drives the majority of alerts.
The conversation follows:
- "Before the loan process, we would like to give some data. His address is this?" (This can be easily removed from the phone via the Internet).
In answering that yes, the scammers continues:
- "Any question that you have, you should call the 0-800 number found on the back of your card and ask to speak to the Security Department. Please note the following paragraph of the Protocol" (the bandit gives it then a 6-digit number) and asks: "You could read it to confirm?"
Here comes the most important part of the fraud. He says, then:
- "Sorry, but we have to verify that you are in possession of your card. Please take your card and read your number."
Done this, he continues:
- "Correct. Now turn your card and please read the last 3 digits (or 4, depending on the card)."
These are the Security Numbers (Pin Number) you USA for shopping via the Internet, to prove that it is actually the holder of the card!
Once you say those numbers:
- "Correct! Understand that it was necessary to verify that the card was not lost or had stolen, and that you were with him in his power. You have some other question?"
Once you say no, and thanked the Scammer off. Probably in less than 10 minutes a purchase will be charged to your card, and many others afterwards, if you do not realize the fraud until the arrival of the extract.
How to protect yourself in this criminal action?
It is almost useless to make complaints to the police. Even in the United States is difficult to find those connections.
You can say to the bandit you will disconnect the connection to 0800. But even if you turn off this type of connection, it is clear that the best way to avoid it is to be alert and report all the existence of this coup.
